P006 Oblivion - Piazzolla, A.

A sultry and sensuous tango from the Argentine composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla. This piece was recorded with orchestra for the 1982 film Enrico IV, and is perfectly suited to the lyrical flexibility of a flute ensemble.

There are many lovely recordings of this arrangement on youtube, but I like the use of solo players in this one from the Pacific Flute Ensemble.
