An intermediate version of Waldteufel's lush Skaters' Waltz. It is in fact 4 waltzes, composed in 1882 and inspired by the skating rink at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. After a swirling introduction, the graceful waltz themes are interspersed with delicate quaver passages, and beautifully depict the skaters gliding and leaping on the ice
